What makes Jordan an ideal destination for meetings and business travel? 

Jordan’s diverse attractions and well-established business infrastructure, along with an outstanding level of service, all makes it not just an ideal meetings destination but rather a unique and memorable one.

What are some of the major MICE events that have been held there in the last year? 

Some of the major events held in the past year include Adventure Next Near East, which the Adventure Travel Trade association has held in Jordan for the past three years, and the 32nd Congress of the International Academy of Pathology – IAP  was also held in Jordan and saw around 3000 attendees.

Are there any exciting developments taking place in Jordan in 2019? If so can you tell us a bit about them? 

The Ritz Carlton is being built on the city’s Fifth Circle, adjacent to three other five-star hotels, and feature 230 guest rooms, a 1,000 square-meter ballroom.

The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts opened its first property in the Kingdom of Jordan, the Al Manara, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Saraya Aqaba. The 207-room hotel was developed by Eagle Hills Jordan.

When it the best time of year to visit Jordan? 

Jordan is a year-round destination but the best time to visit is spring (March–May), when temperatures are warm but not too hot.

What would you recommend visitors to Jordan do in their leisure time?

• Float around in the Dead Sea
• Visit the amazing 7th wonder of the world Petra
• Camp under the stars in the desert of Wadi Rum

What are you planning to showcase on your stand at The Meetings Show and why should visitors stop by to see the team? 

The Jordan Convention Bureau along with the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association and fellow members will be showcasing Jordan; we’ll be giving insight into all that Jordan has to offer for the MICE organiser.
