New Quarterly Retreat Launches to Support Women in Events with Sustainable Success and Restorative Leadership

As the events industry continues to evolve post-pandemic, a new wellness initiative is addressing a long-overdue need: the wellbeing and sustainable career growth of women and non-binary professionals in the events space.

The Seasonal Retreat – For Women and Non Binary folk Who Lead, Create, and Care launches with a one-day immersive experience on Saturday 18th October at Tewinbury Farm, offering a curated introduction to a four-part retreat series planned for 2026. Rooted in seasonal wisdom, heart-centered and holistic wellbeing, the programme creates dedicated space for busy professionals to rest, reconnect, and realign with their purpose.

“When women in events come together, we’re not just creating space, we’re reclaiming it,” says co-founder Lucy Eden. “We often lead, hold space for others, and deliver extraordinary experiences, but rarely give ourselves permission to pause.”

Unlike traditional industry events, the retreats focus on cyclical self-leadership, with programming inspired by the natural seasons:

  • Winter: Stillness, introspection & visioning

  • Spring: Creativity & new beginnings

  • Summer: Celebration, abundance & embodiment

  • Autumn: Reflection & graceful transition

The October retreat offers a taste of all four energies in a single day. Attendees will experience:

  • Seasonal plant-based meals and fresh juices

  • Gentle yoga, mindful movement, and forest bathing

  • Sacred women’s circle and tea ceremony

  • Industry-specific wellbeing talks and storytelling

  • Candlelit meditation & take-home keepsakes

  • Post-retreat support including Zoom integration sessions and community connection

“We check in with our businesses quarterly,” says Lucy Eden, “but we often only check in with ourselves once a year, if at all. This retreat invites a different rhythm. Whether you join once or return each season, this is a space to come back to yourself.”

Co-founder Gabby Austen Browne, a long-time practitioner and advocate for inclusive wellbeing in events, adds:

“These retreats are about creating sustainable success, not burnout disguised as ambition. We’re modelling a new way of working that honours both our professional goals and our humanity.”

Hosted at Tewinbury Farm, a 700-acre eco-conscious countryside estate, the setting reflects the retreat’s ethos of grounded, regenerative growth, with indoor and outdoor spaces designed to reconnect participants to nature, self, and community.

The response so far has been overwhelmingly positive, with early interest from event producers, directors, venue professionals, and freelancers across career stages.

“This isn’t just another industry day,” says one early applicant. “It’s the space I didn’t realise I needed — connection, calm, and a reminder that I matter too.”

Early bird tickets are £250, with limited spaces available to maintain intimacy and depth.
