The Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) is Sarawak’s first purpose-built international convention centre, launched in 2009 to spearhead the state’s business tourism agenda. Since then, it has grown in step with Sarawak’s rising profile as a destination for culture, adventure, and nature on the island of Borneo.
To date, BCCK has hosted over 2,900 events and welcomed more than 3.9 million delegates and visitors from around the globe.
Strategically located on the Kuching Isthmus and framed by the scenic Sarawak River, BCCK is just 15 minutes from the city centre and 20 minutes from Kuching International Airport. Its award-winning architecture draws inspiration from Borneo’s natural beauty, with a striking roof design modelled after the native ririk leaf.
The venue’s centrepiece is the Great Hall, offering 2,793 sqm of flexible space for up to 5,000 theatre-style guests. It can be divided into four halls and is complemented by 14 meeting rooms and a naturally lit concourse, ideal for exhibitions and networking.
In 2028, BCCK will elevate its capacity with a significant expansion. The new wing will add nearly 6,000 sqm (5,936 sqm) of Main Hall space for up to 9,500 guests, divisible into three halls, along with 20 additional meeting rooms and a 2,342 sqm multipurpose area. This expanded facility will boast panoramic views of the Sarawak River and be linked to the existing centre via an air-conditioned bridge for seamless connectivity.
