Sam is passionate about the rights of the child and specialises in play-based facilitation with and for children in complex settings. She founded Clowns Without Borders UK in 2014 and under her leadership, the Clowns have worked with over 100,000 children in 15 countries.
Before CWB UK, Sam accumulated 15 years of experience developing international art-led interventions with the British Council and initiating national creativity programmes in schools in Lithuania, Taiwan and Wales via Creative Partnerships. In 2007 she founded Nimble Fish, spending 12 years developing and delivering national and international cultural events.
A trained clown and certified trauma-informed practitioner with an MA in Advanced Theatre Practice, Sam's facilitation work draws heavily on Gestalt principles.
