HEADLINE SESSION: LORD SEBASTIAN COE

It has been 10 years since the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London set a new standard for the production of the world’s largest sporting events. In the decade since, the city and the region have attracted hundreds of events based on the successful organisation during the summer of 2012. In this session, Lord Sebastian Coe, who led the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and currently serves as president of World Athletics, will share lessons learned from London’s Olympic bid and the successful staging of the event as well as his perspective on the long-term legacy of the Games for its host city.

AN ONLINE SUSTAINABILITY COURSE THAT WILL CHANGE THE WAY YOU DELIVER EVENTS...

The Complete Sustainable Events Course, taking place on 26 September 2022, is a 6-week online course for event and meeting planners that want to drive the sustainability agenda within their organisation. 

Led by none other than Andy King and isla's Anna Abdelnoor, the course will cover everything from supply chains and carbon footprint to the circular economy and smart menu designs.

The experts in event sustainability are hosting a series of bite-sized drop-in workshops live from their stand during the show. EDUCATION PROGRAMME

After 2 years in limbo, our industry is ready to move forward, and this year's education content has been designed to reflect just that.

With 49 sessions, over 85 speakers, and 22 hours’ worth of content to choose from, our programme has been split into five key streams: Innovation and Trends; Technology; Meetings Design; My Learning and Personal Development; and Marketing – to make it easy for you to select the sessions of interest to you.

All sessions will be delivered live at ExCeL London and you can expect wide-ranging, thought-provoking topics such as the metaverse, diversity, sexual harassment, catering for non-drinkers at events, and mental wellbeing. Plus, none other than Lord Sebastian Coe will be delivering our keynote!

Hybrid – What did we learn and where do we go from here?
